Goped ESR-750

American Made

750 watt motor with cooling fins

Robust controller

24v 12ah battery pack (standard) 24v 18ah battery pack (extended)

18-20 mph speed, range under hard riding conditions: 6-8 miles (standard), 8-12 miles (extended) Battery status indicator, superior braking

Removable seat, and accessories as options

One of the finest scooters every made. It represents the unfulfilled "promise" the Zappy made many years ago, for a powerful, lightweight, and foldable standup scooter . We added a external battery pack for our long commute and found the ESR-750 to be our scooter of choice among many fine models. We only stopped riding it when the floodgate of cheap Chinese gas and electric junk scooters caused local ordinances to be passed against all mini-scooters.

Goped ESR-750 Sport

American Made

750 watt motor with cooling fins

Robust controller

24v 12ah battery pack

18-20 mph speed, range under hard riding conditions: 6-8 miles Battery status indicator.

Small solid flat free wheels

This is a lighter version of the ESR-750 without the larger air filled tires. We haven't ridden one, but since it has the same motor as the bigger model it should perform as well.

It is more luggable up stairs etc, for the city - apartment dweller.

GoMotherboard 2000x

Weighs only 19.5 lbs

Folds easily and can be carried for reasonable distances by most men and women.

Twin 350 watt motors with friction drive.

Solid "Roller blade" type wheels with a mini-front-suspension. Battery status indicator

Nimh battery pack

I haven't tested this latest model. I "assume", however, that because it is friction drive it won't work well on wet surfaces, and the 220 lb weight limit means just that on anything but flat surfaces.

Rad2go E-36

36v 750 watt motor

36v 12ah battery pack

Flat-free tires

Ruggedly built

18-20 mph speed

8-10 miles range

One of the best hill climbers of all scooters, including full size models.

The E-36 has been out for years. Some years the models have been more reliable and faster than other years . The latest one I owned had lost a little speed with the flat-free tires, but I think flat-free tires are worth it!

All models over the years have been great hill climbers.

It is still probably the best buy for the money for a heavy adult, or someone living in an hilly area. The worry, however, is will this be the year of good batches!

eGO2

24v 1500 watt motor

24v 34ah battery pack

Front disc brakes, rear V-brakes, and regenerative braking!

Bright front and tail lights

20-22 mph speed, and a excellent hill climber. It has real-world range of 15-20 miles driven fairly hard with a not so light rider. keyed ignition switch, and excellent battery status indicator. You can carry a ton of stuff on the rear rack (Baskets available as an option), and even tow an optional trailer.

The ego has been improved over the years and along with the Forsen is the best buy for someone needing a serious commuter and errand running electric vehicle.

Unlike fullsize electrics, you usually ride the eGO2 like a bike in bike lanes, etc.

My son and I have put thousands of miles on eGOs. They have stood the test of time!

Forsen II

1200 watt motor

24v 40ah battery pack (can be readily removed from scooter to carry inside for charging when taking the whole scooter is not practical or allowable.)

18-19 mph speed with 15-20 miles real-world range ridden fairly hard.

Built like a tank, there are no others at any price built more solid.

Full street equipment (lights, turn signals, horn, and mirrors)

Can carry a passenger as well as groceries. It has a small under-seat storage area.

Forsens have been out for a few years now and I know of no failures, not even one single model. The Taiwan company that makes them is fanatical about making them of the highest quality.

A more powerful model is coming out in the spring, and a fullsize model is on the drawing board. I would wait for them if I was a prospective buyer.

HCF-707

Herculean 350 watt motor

24v 10ah battery pack.

Dual suspension, battery status indicator, very strong rear carry rack, and 12" tires, and a comfortable seat.

12-14 mph speed, 8-10 miles range.

It has been around for years , but still impresses one with its power, and excellent fit-n-finish. It is classic, one of the best.

I couldn't believe how powerful the 707 was when I first tested it. It climbed the toughest hills with my 235 lb of weight, and never faulted. It had a very smooth ride, and was very quiet. It wreaked of quality!

It can be easily folded for transport, as the seat removes and goes on quickly. It can be used as a standup scooter if desired.

It is pricey for its relatively low speed, but it is probably still worth it for those who appreciate "premium" construction and durability. If I couldn't afford the Goped ESR-750 and speed was not a high priority, I would buy the 707.
